Delivering Aloha Pets to Forever Homes
Building bridges between Hawaii’s Big Island shelter pets and caring families on the mainland, ensuring every animal finds a loving home, one flight at a time. Through dedicated efforts, these deserving pets are given a second chance to thrive and experience the warmth of a forever family.

Connecting Aloha Pets with Loving Forever Homes
Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAWHI), working under the Three Ring Ranch Exotic Animal Sanctuary 501 C 3 umbrella, has been saving shelter pets since 2022. The program was created as a way to save the lives of County of Hawaii animal control shelter pets who were not being selected for local placement by Big Island rescues. These pets are matched with volunteers who are flying to the mainland who can take an animal in cargo aboard their flight, then at the arrival airport another volunteer receives the animal and brings it to our no-kill partner shelters where they find their forever home.

Consider a donation to help save the lives of shelter animals on the Big Island by transporting them to their forever homes on the mainland. Please donate through the Three Ring Ranch donation site at: https://store.threeringranch.org/collections/monetary-donations

I’ve rescued about 25 or more dogs. It’s very simple and makes you feel good.

It’s so easy and rewarding to bring a rescue pet on a flight, Ann does all the hard work. We just meet a volunteer at the arrival airport for the hand off. I’ll be sure to contact Ann every time I fly to San Jose.

It was very simple, nothing for me to do really so it’s so easy.
